Refund Policy

1. Vehicle Sales

Purchasing a vehicle—new or used—is a significant transaction. After you sign the purchase agreement and take delivery of the vehicle, the sale is final. Because the title is transferred and the vehicle begins to depreciate once registered, we do not accept returns or provide refunds on vehicle sales except as required by law. New York’s “Lemon Law” may provide remedies for certain serious defects discovered shortly after purchase. If you believe your vehicle qualifies under this law or another statutory protection, please contact us immediately so we can assist you.

2. Deposits and Holding Fees

When you place a deposit to reserve a vehicle, the deposit holds that vehicle for a specified period while you finalize financing or inspections. Deposits are non‑refundable, unless (a) your financing application is declined despite good‑faith efforts to secure financing, (b) the vehicle fails an independent pre‑purchase inspection, or (c) we fail to deliver the vehicle as promised. In those cases, we will refund your deposit in the original form of payment.

3. Merchandise, Parts and Accessories

For products other than vehicles (including apparel, parts, accessories and branded goods), we aim for complete customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please review the following:

  • Return Window: You may return eligible items within 14 days of receipt. To qualify for a return, items must be unused, uninstalled, free of damage and include all original packaging, manuals and accessories.

  • Return Process: To initiate a return, contact us at info@borstowmotors.com or 646‑281‑6795 with your order number, items being returned and reason for return. We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and provide return instructions.

  • Return Shipping: Unless the return is due to our error (e.g. we shipped the wrong item or a defective product), customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance; we are not responsible for packages lost in transit. Returns should be sent to BARSTOW MOTORS INC, 154 Market Street, Potsdam, NY 13676.

  • Inspection and Refunds: After we receive your return, our team will inspect the item. If the item meets return criteria, we will process a refund to your original payment method within 10 business days. Depending on your bank or credit‑card issuer, it may take additional time for funds to appear on your account.

  • Exchanges: If you wish to exchange an item for a different size or product, please place a new order and return the original item following the process above.

  • Non‑Returnable Items: Gift cards, custom‑ordered parts, special‑order accessories and clearance items marked “Final Sale” are non‑returnable.

4. Order Cancellations

You may cancel an order for merchandise or parts before it has shipped for a full refund. Once an order has shipped, please follow our return process. Orders for custom or special‑order items cannot be cancelled once submitted.

5. Damaged or Defective Merchandise

If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of receipt. Provide photos of the damage and keep all original packaging. We will arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost and may require you to return the damaged item.
